This morning, I am at the Leadership and Management Academy where I am attending an Artificial Intelligence training alongside some councillors. The training forms part of the Ithuba Youth Economic Development Programme.
Artificial Intelligence is here and we cannot build a sustainable future for the youth of Tshwane without AI. In partnership with Microsoft, the City will be integrating the Ithuba programme into some sectors of the IT industry.

This morning, I am in Olivenhoutbosch for the Ithuba Youth Outreach Programme. The programme aims to empower young people from with opportunities to participate in the economy.

ECDs provide an important learning for young children, they create jobs in townships and ECDs support the support that working parents require for their children.
ECDs provide a foundation for children before they enter formal learning.

It is therefore important that ECD practitioners are equipped with the necessary resources.

This morning, I engaged with Early Childhood Development practitioners. I spoke to them about waiving development charges for the establishment of ECDs in areas declared as designated areas.

Responding to the Tshwane State of the Capital Address, today I spoke in Council to some of the highlights and achievements of the City of Tshwane during the current 2025/26 financial year.

Did you know that the value of investment projects in Tshwane has risen from less than R2 billion last year to more than R11 billion? And it is still rising.
