Meet the artist 🎶✨️
Jade started her career at the age of 8 as a treble and soloist in the Anglican Church choir in Linden, where she learned how to read music and began piano lessons. Jade attended the Opera School at the University of Cape Town under the direction of Isabelle Van Zyl, she then went on to study at Tshwane University majoring in Vocal Art Performance under the direction of Pierre Du Toit. Jade's list of performed operatic lead roles include Marguerite (Gounod - Faust), Zerlina (Mozart - Don Giovanni), Clorinda (Rossini - La Cenerentola), and Susanne (Offenbach - Un Marie A La Port). Jade took first prize at the International Music and Talent Association vocal category in 2013 and not long after, spent time in France to study French Opera and Art Song. Jade ran Variety of Note, a music education initiative that aimed at assisting the less privileged. She is currently teaching music, piano, and voice at Swallow 15 Music School in the Westrand while maintaining a stage presence through private events.
