Hello again everyone. Happy New Year. Back to my weekly posts after a short break.
Some food for thought:
When you want what you want more than you fear what you want, you will have it. There is no sinister external force keeping you from having what you want; everything in your outer world is a reflection of your inner beliefs and feelings. Change your inner climate, and outer circumstances will rearrange themselves naturally. How do you do this: partner with a coach to help you re-assess/adjust your belief systems and then watch your new way unfold. It's quite magical.

When do you know that you need coaching? These are some of the thoughts that may be going through your mind:
1. I feel unfilled and need a change
2. I struggle with a relationship/s in my life
3. I want to fit into and feel fulfilled in my organisation or environment
4. I don't always understand why I behave in a particular way and wish I could change that
5. I want to follow my purpose and don't really know where to start
6. I want to understand more about myself and grow

What would you look for when choosing a coach:
Someone who is able to connect with you at a very human level, who shows a genuine interest in you and who listens with empathy and openness. Someone who can be a thinking partner and who can facilitate learning so that you can find your own answers. Someone you can trust and who makes you feel safe and supported, whilst always speaking the truth. Someone who can help you see that every situation has possibilities and that you really do have the power of choice in your life.

So what benefits can coaching offer you as an individual?
1. Coaching creates a space for you to hear your own voice - to talk something through and gain perspective in a held and supported way. Where someone REALLY listens to you.
2. It allows you to learn more about yourself through examining your beliefs systems, attitudes and perspectives that may be holding you back.
3. Through this self-awareness, it helps you understand how this informs your behaviors that may or may not be serving you in a particular situation. It then gives you the necessary tools to shift those behaviors.
4. It allows you to look at your relationships through multiple perspectives so that you are able to optimize and enrich those interactions
5. Through these multiple perspectives, coaching enables you to find a good balance of co-existing within a system, organization or any environment that you may find yourself in.

Let's start from the beginning: What's the difference between coaching and mentoring?

Mentoring: A mentor shares knowledge and expertise in the field of the client and supports through sharing insights and experience within a specific field.
Coaching: A coach is a thinking partner who helps create self-awareness, facilitates learning and enables change, through providing new perspectives towards achieving your goals.

So my expertise is in providing HR mentorship and life and business coaching for individuals looking for change and reaching their full potential.
