Happy Spring Day !
Summer is officially on it's way, and I can't wait for hotter days.
In celebration, I'd like to share one of my latest landscapes.
I took this photography at Bokaap in Cape Town. This spot was a secluded, absolutely fortunate find. I just love the swing mount balancing on the tree, the house and Lions Head in the background.
This had to be in Black and White for me.

Hi Everyone,

In addition to my last posting featuring the landscape boat photo, here is another favourite taken in Plettenberg Bay.

I've never had the experience of walking approximately 2km's across and island of beach and being overwhelmed by the vast amount of scenes and shots that one can photograph. The sun was setting and I had a limited amount of time, but of the photos I took, I ended up with over 22 amazing photographs.

I'll share a few over the next few weeks.

This photo of the fisherman was special to me. I came around the bend of the beach (my view was obscured by sand dunes) and saw a fisherman getting ready to cast. I quickly had the idea to switch my setting to silhouette, as soon as he casted off I took the shot. I only had one shot at taking the photo the way I envisioned it. It came out far better than expected as the silhouette setting made for an awesome copper effect complimenting the sunset.

Love this scene of a boat used as a landscape feature at Milkwood Manor House on Lookout Beach. It was a beautiful evening with golden sunset.

I completed little Hannes' photo book recently. Here are a few pages from the book. This was my first project of using non-professional photos, editing them and compiling a beautiful and memorable book that his parents and especially grandparents are most proud to display. He's an adorable little boy.
