Celebrating Impact and Transformationāļø

Umsizi is proud to celebrate maintaining our Level 1 BBEE status for the 4th year running. A milestone that reflects our ongoing commitment to meaningful transformation, empowerment, and social impact.
A key part of this journey is our Skills Development Initiative, through which we are honoured to support five bright young scholarship recipients from Northcliff High School: Unathi, Hannah, Mokgadi, Nosipho and Mbali. Their dedication and determination remind us why investing in young people matters.
We are also proud to sponsor another student through The Way Learnership programme this year. Over 12 months, she will work towards an NQF Level 4 Business Administration qualification in an all-inclusive programme that will equip her with the skills and tools necessary for her to make a sustainable impact in her workplace, her home, and her community.
Our transformation efforts extend further to Enterprise and Supplier Development, where Umsizi continues to support emerging businesses with opportunities that contribute to growth, sustainability, and meaningful economic participation.
Through our Socio-Economic Development work with Impophomo, we remain committed to uplifting communities and supporting programmes that create real, practical change in the lives of people who need it most.
Maintaining our Level 1 BBBEE status is something we are proud of, but the real achievement lies in the lives touched, businesses supported, and communities strengthened along the way. Behind every initiative are real people with real stories, and that is what drives the Umsizi team forward.

Social sustainability is often misunderstood.

Too many organisations still view it as a compliance exercise - something to report on rather than something to build.

But real social sustainability doesn’t live in reports, it shows up in:

• Employees who feel valued and empowered
• Stronger communities
• More resilient local economies
• Businesses that flourish because of trust and stability

In South Africa, this matters more than ever.

The change is simple, but not easy:
Move from short-term interventions to long-term, structured solutions. That’s where the real impact starts.
