This holiday should be the time to narrow down the list of your child's interests and focus on one skill. This could include photography, tailoring, traditional or digital painting, dancing, animation, games, music, sports, coding, design, writing, craft making, storytelling, and more. Look for a local expert and enrol your child as their apprentice for the entire summer holiday.

Don't view the long holiday as a time to simply play or enrol your child in another summer school class. Instead, leave mathematics and civic education in the classroom and equip your child with a skill that will benefit them in the future.

One month may not be enough time to learn everything, but it will help you discover your child's potential and unleash their abilities.

While some believe that all children must learn Scratch from MIT to develop an engineering mindset, this isn't necessarily true. Every child is unique, and it's crucial to find out what your child enjoys and support their interests.

For example, a 13-year-old can start a frontend development course on freecodecamp, a 10-year-old can begin learning how to use Blender or Spline, a 6-year-old can unlock their painting talent, and even a two-year-old can improve their tantrum skills (just kidding!).

Remember, the things you dreamed of becoming as a child were likely an indication of your true calling. So, please help your child discover their passion and potential.
