Introduction
The programmer will form part of a team primarily responsible for data scripting and data tables on PAPI, CATI, CAPI and CAWI projects. Will be required to programme data entry scripts and process data
Minimum Requirements
· Completed tertiary education in the fields of computer programming, data processing or statistical data analysis (or a combination thereof)
· Two or more years relevant experience in the market research industry and in areas such as data management, data analysis, data processing, databases, etc.
· Experience in Dimensions/IBM SPSS Data Collection will be particularly advantageous
· Experience in other statistical/tabulation analysis software will be advantageous: SPSS, STATA, SAS, Quantum, Surveycraft, etc.
· Advanced computer and programming skills in software such as: Excel (VBA), Access, SQL, Visual Basic, C++, C #, etc.
· Ability to use computing programming skills in a market research data environment and working with the range of data analysis software used

Job Specification

• Use Dimensions/IBM SPSS Data Collection to programme surveys, prepare data, process data, manage data and associated deliverables
• The key day-to-day activities are: data entry scripting, quality assurance and project communication
• Ensure that data entry scripts have been thoroughly tested, are delivered on time and to high quality standards
• Perform data validation to assess data quality before / during analysis
• Produce tables for analysis and reporting purposes based on analysis specifications on assigned projects
• Identify areas where current processes could be improved by making use of programming and data processing expertise
• Continually grow own scripting and analysis skills in Dimensions/IBM SPSS Data Collection and other related programmes
