After completing his articles, Kobus started his career in the financial industry in 1980 as a representative for an assurance company. Before long he made a move to Boland Bank Ltd. where his career really took off. In a few years Kobus worked his way up to become the National Executive of the division and then ultimately the CEO of Financial Services Suppliers Ltd. (Subsidiary of BOE Bank Group). During his years in active marketing and sales he utilized several opportunities as an inspirational speaker at annual conferences. He also had the privilege to coach clients and colleagues regarding their personal problems, relationships, careers, goals, et cetera and to help find them the right jobs or careers with great success. For this reason, since the beginning of 2008 following his miraculous healing at the end of 2007, he decided to qualify and equip himself and register as professional Brain Profile Practitioner, Counselor, Life Coach, and Professional Speaker. While completing the dissertations for his four doctorates he also worked as a Life Counselor (as part of his internship), with inmates at Correctional Services in Knysna and he delivered several inspirational talks at Business and Social meetings country wide. He now shares his experience to teach and help others how to acknowledge, accept, to deal with it wisely and to transcend their trauma to live triumphantly.
