How Can We Have Hope When Everything Looks Hopeless?

In Romans 5:3-5, Paul says that we can rejoice in our sufferings because we are a people of hope: “Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us” (Rom. 5:3–5, ESV).
So, how can we have hope when everything looks hopeless? In the midst of suffering, we can rejoice because these challenges cause us to:
1. Rely on God’s presence
Rejoicing in suffering does not mean celebrating when bad news comes. But, it does mean that we can believe that God is doing a redemptive work. This word “redemptive” means that God does not waste a hurt or disappointment. He is using them to shape and build us into the image of Jesus, which is his highest passion.
When we go through suffering, we often pray and seek God more intensely than at other times. My greatest times of growth have been when I’ve reached the end of my resources and all I have left is Jesus. God uses suffering to make us rely on his presence.
In Psalm 23:4, David writes that he does not fear because God is with him. He relies on God’s presence, and it brings him strength and comfort. Remember that for there to be a shadow, there has to be a light. I don’t know what your “valley of the shadow of death” is, but I do know who the Light is that is walking with you in that valley.
In another Psalm, David reveals that one of the reasons for his joy is that he is forgiven: “Blessed is the one whose transgressions are forgiven whose sins are covered (Ps. 31:1, NIV). We can’t determine God’s love for us based on good or bad circumstances. We determine his love based on the cross and what he did for us on it.
2. Rely on God’s provision
In 2 Corinthians 12:7, Paul reveals that he has suffered from a “thorn in the flesh.” God was so co

How can I know for sure that I will go to heaven when I die by COVID19?

Do you know for certain that you have eternal life and that you will go to heaven when you die? God wants you to be sure! The Bible says: “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God so that you may know that you have eternal life” (1 John 5:13). Suppose you were standing before God right now and He asked you, “Why should I let you into heaven?” What would you say? You may not know what to reply. What you need to know is that God loves us and has provided a way that we can know for sure where we will spend eternity. The Bible states it this way: “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

We have to first understand the problem that is keeping us from heaven. The problem is this - our sinful nature keeps us from having a relationship with God. We are sinners by nature and by choice. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). We cannot save ourselves. “For by grace are you saved, through faith, and this not of yourselves – it is the gift of God. Not by works, so that no one can boast” (Ephesians 2:8-9). We deserve death and hell. “For the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

God is holy and just and must punish sin, yet He loves us and has provided forgiveness for our sin. Jesus said: “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Jesus died for us on the cross: “For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous to bring you to God” (1 Peter 3:18). Jesus was resurrected from the dead: “He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification” (Romans 4:25).

So, back to the original question – “How can I know for sure that I will go to heaven when I die by COVID19?” The answer is this – believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be sa

Good morning Beloved of God👏🏾we begin with Thanksgiving for the gifts of life and God's faithful presence in our lives. Habakkuk words (1:1-4) echo our feelings: "How long O Lord, must i cry for help and you do not listen! "Violence is everywhere!" I cry, but you do not come to save"...wherever i look, I see destruction and violence...the law has become paralysed and there is no justice in the courts." "I will wait to see how God will answer my complaint" 2:1. "Then the Lord answered me and said: "write the vision.." God has a vision that required each of us to play a role. 50 days till women's day 9 August have been set aside to remember women and girls killed by either intimate partners or strangers. God has a vision for women and children equal dignity - free from violence and gives us wisdom/self protection/prudence/courage to play our part starting and suatained by prayer. I will be passing on a story a day of a women violently killed with prayer. We are one body "if one part suffers, all the parts suffer with it." Lord hear our prayers😭 from Dr Radebe Nontando

Yesterday I shared with you:

"And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt.” – Exodus 12:13. Today's

YOU LET THE BLOOD OF JESUS SPEAK BETTER THINGS ABOUT YOU?+

My friends, whenever you, by faith, tap into the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, that blood speaks upon your behalf and declares that your price has been paid. Blood has a voice.
And He said, “What have you done? The voice of your brother’s blood cries out to Me from the ground.” – Genesis 4:10
…to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel. – Hebrews 12:24
First, remember that the Hebrew word for blood in Genesis 4:10 is plural – “bloods.” That means the lost generations of promise and the unborn children who would never see the light of day were calling out to God for vengeance.
In Hebrews, Jesus blood speaks better things. Check this out. There are some really cool comparisons between Abel and Jesus, you know:
Abel was a shepherd. Christ is the Good Shepherd. Abel died a violent death at the hand of a relative. Christ died a violent death at the hand of His own people. Abel’s blood cried and God heard it. Christ’s blood speaks and God hears it. Abel testified of the righteousness of God. Jesus was the righteousness of God.
But in contrast, while Abel died by force, Christ died willingly. Abel died because of his sacrifice. Christ died as the sacrifice. Abel’s blood cried for revenge. Christ’s blood cries for remission, forgiveness, of our sins. Abel’s blood polluted the ground. Christ’s blood is preserved in heaven.
I want us just to think about what the blood of Abel is crying about and what the blood of Jesus is speaking about because the blood of Jesus carries promises with it. All the lost promise of Abel is being restored in you and me. We are the joy set before

You are in the hands of God

by Dr GS Mailula

Introduction

The hands of God are mentioned often in Scripture from many perspectives. We are going to look at the subject today from Psalm 139:5-10 and divided out thoughts into three parts presented clearly in our text. One could spend a lot of time on this subject, but we will put a fence around our thoughts today and keep them in a narrow plane of view. Our mission in this message is to see how the Master’s hand is at work in the believer’s life.
A neighbor noticed a small boy from the house next door running around the block. He had seen the boy pass by four or five times. Knowing that the lad was too small to be a jogger, he stopped him and asked, “Son, What are you doing? I have noticed you running around the block several times.”
The little fellow looked at the man as answered, “I am running away from home, but I can’t go very far because I am not allowed to cross the street.”
The passage before us says something like this. The writer tells us that he is hemmed in before and behind. The hand of the Lord is upon Him. He can run, but not very far. This is amazingly true of the believer. The hand of the Lord is upon us. We can run but we can’t hide. This is also very comforting!
Back in the mountains they were having an old- fashioned revival. A big, tall, barefooted mountaineer with unusually big feet came into the church and during the revival service was moved to come up to the altar. He knelt at the kneeling bench, and an old deacon, who was almost blind, came over to him, placed his arm around his shoulder, and began to pray. “God bless this man who has come to confess his sins,” he prayed. Then, as his arm dropped, his hand fell upon the big feet of the mountaineer. Resting his palm on the mountaineer's heels, he continued to pray, “And Lord, bless his two little boys that he has brought with him.”
Indeed, when it is the hand of the Lord upon you, He blesses you from head to foot!
During the Middle Ages gre

Walking with God means moving alongside God in unity and faith as you pass through your life's journey. For the most part, focusing on God and following His lead will keep you on the right path.
1 Think about walking with someone in the physical world. To understand what it means to walk with God on a spiritual level, consider what it means to literally take a walk with a friend or relative. Ask yourself how you interact with that person. What do you expect from that individual, and how to you speak and behave in return?

When you take a walk with someone, the two of you are traveling in one direction. Your steps move at a similar pace so that neither one of you leaves the other behind. You talk with each other and your attention remains on one another. In short, there is an overall sense of harmony, unity, and community between the two of your during your walk. Read your Bible

Look for notable examples of people who walked with God. Scriptures contain a few different examples of men and women who followed God, but to understand what it means to walk with God, look specifically for examples using that exact phrase—“walk with God.”Enoch is the first person man in the

The gist of this passage is that Enoch was in close community with God throughout all the years of his life, so much so that God took him away to Paradise at the end of his days. While this passage does not suggest that anyone who walks with God will be taken to Heaven without seeing death, it does imply that walking with God opens up the pathway there.

Pray. Prayer allows the believer to stay in close, personal connection with God. Prayers of thanksgiving, praise, and supplication all have their rightful place. The important thing is to pray what's in your heart.

Think again about how you behave when walking with a friend. You may walk in silence sometimes, but oftentimes, the two of you talk, laugh, and cry together. Prayer is what allows the believer to talk, laugh, and cr

WHAT IS THE NEXT STEP AFTER ACCEPTING JESUS CHRIST AS MY PERSONAL SAVIOR?

Have you been touched by the great love of God toward you? Have you been drawn to Him who first loved us? (We love him, because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19) Have you felt the burden of your sinful life, and know you need a Savior? (All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Romans 3:23) Do you believe that your relationship with God is secure, not because of our faithfulness, but because of His? (For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. John 3:16) Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior?
If you have Praise God! (…likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth,… Luke 15:7) Welcome to the Family of God. (As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name. John 1:12)
You may now be wondering, What must I now do after accepting Jesus Christ as my Savior? We will find the answers written in the Holy Bible, God’s inspired message of love for us.
1. YOU NEED TO BE BAPTIZED. Baptism is a public commitment showing that we are burying our sinful life in surrender to Jesus and rising again to walk a new life with Jesus as our source of strength and ownership. (We were, therefore buried with Him through baptism unto death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead, through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. Romans 6:4) When Jesus was instructing his disciples after he rose from the dead he said; (“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” Matthew 28:19
2. JOIN A BIBLE BELIVEING CHURCH. We need the fellowship and prayers of other believers. (Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day a

2020, year of New Beginning

New beginnings bud around you and within you every day. You don’t need to wait for a clean slate. God is in the business of making all things new. His healing brings restoration beyond understanding, no matter where you come from or what you’ve done. To help you cling to the promise of God’s restoration, here are seven powerful Bible verses about a new beginning to experience in this world–and the next.

God has made us new.

1. 2 CORINTHIANS 5:17

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
Truth: You are new in Christ, even today.

2. COLOSSIANS 3:9-11

Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator. Here there is no Gentile or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave or free, but Christ is all, and is in all.
Truth: Your old, sinful nature is dead. You learn to grow in your new identity in Christ as you learn more about His character.

3. ISAIAH 43:18-19

Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
Truth: God calls us to let go of “former things,” so we can cling to our new identity in Christ.

4. 2 CORINTHIANS 4:16-17

Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
Truth: God continually makes us new. Every moment of every day brings a fresh beginning.

God is making all things new.

5. GENESIS 1:31A

God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.
Truth: In the beginning, God made all things and called them good.

6. LAMENTATIONS 3:22-24

Because of the Lord’s great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions n
