~AFRIQUE DE SOWETO~
Don’t crack your skull trying to figure out what it means, think of your continent and your birthplace! Well, mine happens to be exactly that. I don’t know where the journey will take us but what I know for sure is that, it is going to be an exciting experience filled with extraordinary adventures. From food, entertainment to travels. Most importantly it’s about reconnecting with old friends, finally your cyber-friends, meeting total strangers and us becoming one big family. The world needs love, healing and a little bit of good fix to remind us that we deserve to be happy!

My starting point for a good fix, is home cooked meals, the type that will make you wanna lick the plate. Sounds like a good start after much contemplation.

I have wined and dined at the most modest eateries to the most exquisite of restaurants, the deal breaker for me is bland food because I appreciate a well prepared meal. Many of you might have had bad experiences too... I have chewed on a bottle shred or three in my meals, found hair strands on my plate, rejected murky eggs and put up a little bit of a show but here I am, alive. I have also been threatened to be kicked out of a restaurant because an accomplice became dramatic and promised to go ‘live’ on the socials and yes I have had to split bills with a miser or cover the tab because some friends would intentionally ‘forget’ their wallets at home, they are still not millionaires (shade). I kid. But I survived.

A lot of my friends and family know that I love cooking and hosting, I have been told by many people to start something. I am ready to face my fears. I am not a chef but I enjoy getting creative with the pots. So, here! My little effort is Afrique de Soweto. Come and eat! Details to follow...
