Rotating the Fl**ge

The rotatable fl**ge is made to be adjusted-and doing so doesn't void the three-year warranty. Rotating the fl**ge is easy.

You simply remove the fl**ge screws, rotate it and reinsert the screws. This ensures the starter aligns to the engine.

Be Protected from Thermal Damage.

Over-Crank Protection (OCP) technology is a built-in circuit breaker that protects the starter from thermal damage and automatically resets at a safe operating temperature. OCP protects the starter in adverse starting conditions, such as cold weather cranking, lower battery capacity, high-starting circuit resistance, or operator misuse. OCP is an option available today on the Delco Remy 41MT™, 42MT™, 39MT™ starters.

Enhance Starter Reliability with an Internal Magnetic Switch Solenoid (IMSS).

IMSS (patent pending) is a one-wire design integrated inside the solenoid. Input current is capable of CM control and protects it from voltage spikes. IMSS withstands engine temperature up to 120 °C/248 °F. Because of its integration inside the solenoid, it is protected from corrosion caused by environmental factors and damage from vibration issues.

The redefined Electrical Soft-Start on the Delco Remy 39MT Starter reduces wear and tear by slowly rotating the pinion until it properly engages into the ring gear before cranking. This also minimises tooth abutment, ultimately extending starter life.
