IRS team members Akira Jagessur and Lauren Anaekwe are at Lenasia Magistrates Court today to make representations on behalf of a client who was allegedly defrauded out of several million rand.

The suspects obtained a Protection from Harassment order against our client in an effort to prevent her from pursuing them.

IRS investigations coordination team leader, Lauren Anaekwe, together with IRS investigations co-ordinator, Mamokoane Mogano, both pictured; were at Lenasia Magistrates Court today to make representations on behalf of a client who lost in excess of R1 million in a scam.

The suspects took out a protection order against our client and when IRS contacted the suspects for a right of reply, they threatened to have our client charged with contravening the protection order as IRS was acting as our clients proxies and agents.

Unbelievable how many suspects and persons of interest now use protection orders to scupper investigations.

IRS is currently investigating a far worse case against “Debt Savers” who literally stole their clients money by not paying it across to creditors resulting in repossession and major financial prejudice.

On the left, Akira Jagessur, who has a Bachelor of Arts in Forensic Science and Technology, Higher Certificate in Criminal Justice, three months in-house training at IRS, and has completed the PSIRA training and awaiting registration.

On the right, Mamokoane Portia Mogano who has a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology, is in the process of completing her honours in criminology, has Diploma in Corrections Management, three months in-house training at IRS, and has completed the PSIRA training and awaiting registration.
