Talking SA employment with the World Bank Group
This Youth Day, I am honoured to be part of meaningful conversations that drive change and create opportunities for the youth of South Africa. 🇿🇦

I had the incredible opportunity to serve as a panel speaker on behalf of Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Co (Pty) Ltd at the World Bank Jobs Council, alongside V&A Waterfront , Harambee Youth Employment, and the SA Youth .

Together, we explored ways to unlock job creation, skills development, and sustainable opportunities for young people across South Africa.

Being part of the travel and tourism industry has allowed me to focus on impactful and sustainable projects that contribute to economic growth across various industries through tourism. I truly believe that empowering youth through access, education, and opportunity is one of the most powerful ways to build a stronger future for our country.

Youth Day is not only a reminder of our history, but also a call to action for all of us to continue creating spaces where young people can thrive, lead, and make meaningful contributions to society.

On Monday, I had the privilege of joining our Retail Team members in representing Table Mountain Aerial Cableway Company (TMACC) during the handover of beautifully handmade baby and children’s blankets to the Christine Revell Children’s Home.

These blankets were lovingly knitted by our staff as part of our Knitted Blanket Project, and what touched my heart most was the incredible care, creativity, and love that went into every single one. Each blanket is unique and reflects the generosity and compassion of the people who made them. I am truly grateful to work for an organisation that cares holistically about the wellbeing of its employees, customers, communities, and stakeholders.

While the blanket handover was a heartwarming experience, it was also eye-opening. We learned that children’s homes are seeing fewer volunteers, fewer adoption applications, and fewer families willing to host children during school holidays and special occasions. It is heartbreaking to think that many children spend holidays without the opportunity to experience the warmth of a family environment.

These children come from vulnerable circumstances and need encouragement, stability, belonging, and love. I would like to encourage anyone who has ever considered volunteering, fostering, adopting, mentoring, or simply spending time supporting a children’s home to take that first step. Your time and care could have a life-changing impact on a child.

Together, we can create hope and remind every child that they matter, that they are loved, and that their future is filled with possibilities.

A special thank you to Annaline, General Manager of Christine Revell Children’s Home, and her dedicated team for the incredible work they do every day. May you continue to be strengthened and encouraged as you make a difference in the lives of so many children.

Today we celebrate 40 years of life of an incredible man — my husband, Denzil Bredenkamp. ❤️

Denzil, you are more than just a husband to me.
You are a devoted father, a loyal family man, a true friend to many, and a man who carries the hearts of others with compassion, strength, and humility.

You give so much of yourself to people every day — often quietly, without expecting anything in return. You lead with integrity, you love with patience, and you stand firm in your faith even when life is not easy.

Today, we pause to celebrate you.
Not for what you do, but for who you are — a God-fearing man, a protector, a provider, and a blessing to everyone who has the privilege of knowing you.

As we step into this new season of 40, I pray that God will multiply every seed you have sown into others and return it to you in favor, peace, health, and purpose.

Monday Mindset 🌅

A new week is not just the start of more work… it is the start of new opportunities, new growth, and new impact.

As a transformational leader, I remind myself every Monday morning that mindset determines direction. When you choose to show up with purpose, gratitude, and courage, you don’t just go to work — you step into your calling.

This week, lead with intention.
Speak with wisdom.
Work with excellence.
And most importantly… see the human first.

We cannot always control what the week brings, but we can control the attitude we bring into the week. And the right mindset can turn ordinary days into moments of transformation.

Let this Monday be the day you decide to rise higher, think better, and lead stronger.

Honoured to have been specially invited to the February 2026 book launch of Bronwen Bayman, a truly inspirational woman whose journey deeply resonated with my own heart and purpose.

We first met at an event where we were both guest speakers, and by what I believe was no coincidence, we were seated next to each other. Within minutes we realised we share the same calling — to see the human first, to uplift others, and to help people become the best version of themselves through transformation, healing, and a healthy mindset.

Although our approaches differ through training, coaching, and motivational speaking, the mission remains the same:
