On Saturday, Southern Ropes was proud to take part in World Boating Day at the Royal Cape Yacht Club, where we showcased our yachting braids and connected with boating enthusiasts who value quality, durability, and reliable performance on the water.

On Sunday, the setting changed completely as Southern Ropes headed to a 4x4 Day in the Atlantis Dunes, where our recovery ropes were put into action in demanding off-road conditions.

This project called for a 110mm, custom-built Super‑12® braided braid; purpose-designed and manufactured to meet a very specific requirement, with performance and safety guiding every decision.

110mm HMPE. Hand-spliced. No shortcuts.

This is a special project, a 110mm HMPE rope that continues to demand absolute focus from manufacture, to splicing, to the final delivery.

The real magic happened at the splicing stage. Our splicing team had to work like a single, efficient machine to splice eyes into this monster rope, all done by hand.

At this diameter, craftsmanship isn’t a nice-to-have… it’s the difference between “made” and “mission-ready.”
