Twenty-eight years ago...

Twenty-eight years ago we started Park Patrol with one simple goal...

To help keep local families safe. Now the baby in this picture, Cole, is the Operations Manager at Durban South Security.

As a mother myself, I know the balancing act of raising children while building a business and caring for a family.

Although I wasn't a single mom, I have always admired the incredible strength of women who carry that responsibility on their own.

This Women's Month we'd like to give something back.

Our Women's Safety Initiative offers a reduced Armed Response rate for qualifying single mothers in our community.

It's our small way of saying...

We see you.

We appreciate you.

And we're here whenever you need us.

💚 Nelson Mandela Day 2026 | 67 Minutes of Service 💚

At Durban South Security, protecting our community goes beyond responding to emergencies. It's about lending a hand wherever it's needed.

This Nelson Mandela Day, our team spent the morning at C.R.O.W. (Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife), one of our valued clients and an incredible organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing South Africa's injured and orphaned wildlife.

Our mission for the day? Removing an old fence from one of the tortoise enclosures. It was hard work, but made so much more enjoyable by meeting the famous "Daddy" – C.R.O.W.'s oldest (and definitely bossiest!) tortoise, who made sure we knew exactly who was in charge! 🐢😄

A very special thank you to Harriet and the wonderful team at CROW - Centre for Rehabilitation of Wildlife for your warm hospitality, the incredible work you do every day, and for allowing us to play a small part in supporting your mission. It was a privilege to spend the day with you.

Nelson Mandela reminded us that:

"It always seems impossible until it's done."

Today reminded us that even small acts of service can make a meaningful difference. We're proud of our team for giving their time to support an organisation that does so much for our community and its wildlife.
