REST IN ETERNAL PEACE: BODY OF PAISON MAMBWE RECOVERED FROM MULUNGUSHI RIVER
Kabwe-January 14,2026.
It is with profound sadness that we share the heartbreaking news of the recovery of the body of 25-year-old Paison Mambwe from the Mulungushi River.
After an exhausting and emotional 26-hour search operation, the brave team from the Kabwe Municipal Council Fire Brigade, together with dedicated community members, located and retrieved Mr. Mambwe's body on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at approximately 15:25 hours.
The tragic incident occurred on Monday afternoon while Mr. Mambwe was fishing in the river near Munchini farm in Kapiri Mposhi District.
Our hearts go out to his grieving family, loved ones, and the entire community who stood together in hope and solidarity during those long, difficult hours. May they find strength in this time of immense sorrow, and may the soul of Paison rest in eternal peace.
In moments like these, we are reminded of the fragility of life and the deep bonds that unite us in both joy and grief.
