On 2 July 2026, Grizzly Group of Companies reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable community development and responsible corporate citizenship through the official handover of a Toyota Hilux motor vehicle valued at K850,000 to His Royal Highness Chief Machiya of the Lamba-speaking people of Mpongwe District.

The symbolic ceremony, held at Machiya Chiefdom, brought together Government officials, traditional leaders, members of the Grizzly Group management team, and community members to witness another important milestone in the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) journey.

The vehicle was presented on behalf of the Chairman of Grizzly Group of Companies, Mr. Abdoulaye Ndiaye, as a demonstration of the company's appreciation for the longstanding relationship it enjoys with the Machiya Chiefdom.

Grizzly Mining Limited Strengthens Cultural Heritage Through Support for Mutafyansala Traditional Ceremony

The 2026 Mutafyansala Traditional Ceremony of the Lamba people, held on 21 June 2026 at the Palace Grounds of Her Royal Highness Chieftainess Shimukunami, was successfully celebrated amid a large gathering of traditional leaders, government officials, political figures, business representatives, and members of the public from across Zambia, which was graced by the Provincial Permanent Secretary, Mr Mwanza on behalf of His Excellency Mr Hakainde Hichilema, who could not manage due to other national requirements

The ceremony, which continues to grow in prominence on Zambia's cultural calendar, provided an important platform for celebrating the rich traditions, customs, and values of the Lamba people. Thousands of participants attended the event, demonstrating the growing recognition of traditional ceremonies as vital instruments for preserving cultural heritage and promoting national unity.
