𝐏𝐑𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐅𝐎𝐑 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐇
This morning, I woke up to do something necessary, yet something I truly dislike doing — pruning flowers.
I dislike it because, in the moment, pruning seems to take away the beauty of the flowers. The garden looks less attractive immediately after the process. Yet, pruning is necessary because it is what keeps the flowers healthy, alive, and even more beautiful in the long run. If left undone, the plant may appear beautiful for a season, but that beauty will not last. In fact, failure to prune can eventually lead to the death of the plant.

There are moments when we are required to make painful decisions — moments of “pruning” — where we must let go of comfort, habits, relationships, or routines for the sake of a better tomorrow. Growth does not come from comfort; it comes from stretching, sacrifice, discipline, and difficult choices.
Sometimes, to grow, you must sacrifice something beautiful today in order to preserve something greater tomorrow.
Pruning may hurt for a moment, but in the end, it produces strength, growth, and lasting beauty.
