Lusaka, Zambia – In the early hours of 17/Feb/2025, Giant Eagles Security Services and Car Hire Ltd. once again showcased its unwavering commitment to excellence and client safety during a security incident at Lemico Resources Limited Mining Company in Lusaka West.
At approximately 00:30, an officer from Giant Eagles Security was confronted by two assailants. Despite being outnumbered, our officer's training and resolve ensured his safety, compelling the attackers to retreat.
Upon receiving the distress call, our dedicated response team was promptly dispatched, arriving on-site within an hour. Under the guidance of our experienced leadership, the team conducted a thorough three-hour investigation, leading to the identification and apprehension of four individuals allegedly involved in unauthorized activities at the mining site.
Further investigations revealed that the perpetrators, identified as security officers from Guarda World, were linked to theft-related activities at the said site. During the operation, our team successfully recovered stolen electrical cables and a vandalized transformer, reportedly taken by the suspects. This discovery underscores the growing threat of internal security breaches and highlights the need for vigilance in corporate security management.
