Update on DEWATS CONSTRUCTION Chelston Secondary School . Construction of 100m3 Biodigester and Construction of a 13x10m ABR is going as planned. Premix concrete was successfully placed on a heavily reinforced base 13mx10mx200mm Base C30. Thanks to our hardworking team.

AN OVERVIEW OF THE Water Purification System installed

Iron Removal: Sand Filters and DMI-65

Sand Filters:
o Sand filters remove suspended solids, sediment, and particulates from the water, acting as a preliminary filtration step.

o These filters are effective for reducing turbidity and preparing water for further treatment stages.

DMI-65 Media:
o A specialized catalytic filtration media designed to remove iron, manganese, and other heavy metals from water.

o DMI-65 is activated by chlorination (using an inline chlorinator, like Klorman), which oxidizes dissolved iron into particulate form, making it easier to filter out.

o The media also helps remove manganese and arsenic if present in trace amounts.

Jumbo Filters (20-inch): Activated Carbon and Polyphosphate Crystals

Activated Carbon:
o Removes chlorine, organic compounds, and any residual taste or odor from the water.

o It also filters out some small particles and impurities that could affect water quality.

Polyphosphate Crystals:
o These prevent calcium and magnesium in water from precipitating as scale on surfaces.

o They work as a scale inhibitor by sequestering the hardness minerals, keeping them in solution.

Inline Chlorinator (Klorman)

The inline chlorinator injects chlorine into the water system to:
o Disinfect the water, killing bacteria and other pathogens.

o Oxidize iron, activating the DMI-65 media for effective iron removal.

Integrated Operation

Raw water passes through the sand filter to remove large particulates.
Chlorine from the Klorman unit oxidizes dissolved iron and activates DMI-65.
The DMI-65 media filters out oxidized iron and other metals.
The treated water flows through jumbo filters:
o Activated carbon removes residual chlorine and organic compounds.

o Polyphosphate crystals treat water hardness to prevent scaling.

The Client were handing over a site to Econergy Civils. The project will involve the construction of 2x50m3 Biodigester, construction of ABR and rehabilitation of 2No ablution blocks for girls and boys. 5Nox10m3 tankstands will also be fabricated at 5 different schools within Lusaka.

2weeks of continuous rock blasting in Kanyama at Kanyama West Clinic for a DEWATS. This place is not for the weak souls in trying to solve the sanitation problems. Our team is trying hard to blast within a very tight space to have a permanent solution the facility is currently facing.
In 3days the structure will start showing great progress.

Econergy Civils is preparing a site for construction of a Decentralised Wastewater treatment system at Kanyama west Clinic in Lusaka. Those who knows Lusaka and kanyama very well will attest that the some places are very very rocky and the construction has to take place no matter the matter.
Our team on the ground breaking and blasting the rocks in readiness for construction of a biodigester, ABR and PGF. We hope for the best.

Dont lose business when there is an alternative way of managing loadshedding. Econergy Civils have been installing solar backup systems for Clients that can run 24hrs in an event that ZESCO is down...
