Employers, please see below from NAPSA

The National Pension Scheme Authority wishes to advise that the social security ceiling for the year 2016 has been revised to K 16,879.44.

This revision follows changes in the National Average Earnings figure for the year 2015 that has raised the monthly total maximum contribution payable to NAPSA to K 1,687.94 for earnings earned between 1st January 2016 and 31st December 2016.

Employers are reminded to take note that the contribution rate remains at 10 percent (subject to the ceiling – K 1,687.94) of an employee’s total monthly earnings.

Attached are the supporting documentations with contribution table for selected monthly earnings:

Kindly take note of guidelines for online submission for 2016 below:

· All returns submitted via email should be sent only to [email protected] and copy [email protected] for employers contributing through our Lusaka offices
· All emails should have clearly labelled subjects and attachments. For example:
o SUBJECT : Roads Siders Limited 2016 01 (for January 2016 returns)
o Attachments: Roads Siders Limited 2016 01 or [Roads Siders Limited mgt. 2016 01, Roads Siders Limited union 2016 01 ] (for January 2016 returns)
· All returns should include National registration numbers or passports numbers for foreigners, Social security numbers provided by the authority, full names and date of birth (DD/MM/YYYY) for all the employees.

Note that the authority will not be held accountable for any penalty charges that will arise on account of wrong submission of a return, late submission of the statutory contribution or contributions submitted using wrong ceiling for 2016.
