When it comes to critical tasks, compliance, governance, financial controls, or sensitive matters, donโt just assume they have been done correctly. Review. Validate. Verify.
Iโve seen capable people lose their jobsโnot because they lacked competence, but because they delegated responsibility without maintaining oversight.
Trust your team, but always verify. The higher you rise, the greater your responsibility to ensure that the right things are done the right way. Leadership is not just about assigning work; it is about owning the outcome.
