-- CONTINUED -- [ PART 1 ]
MY WORK FOR THE CHURCH AS A SHEPHERD.
● COLOSSIANS 1 : 25 -- I became a servant of the church because God gave me a special work to do that helps you. My work is to tell fully the teaching of God.
- Glory to God ! God is the One who can make you strong in faith by throwing Good News that I tell people and by the message about Jesus Christ. The message about Christ is the secret truth that was hidden for long ages past, but is now made known. --- It has been made clear through the writings of the prophets. And by the command of the eternal God it is made known to all nations, that they might believe and obey. --- [ ROMANS 16 : 25 - 26 ]
- God gave us that grace fully and freely. God, with full wisdom and understanding, --- Let us know his secret purpose. This was what God wanted, and he planned to do it through Christ. --- [ EPHESIANS 1 : 8 - 9 ]
- Stand up ! I have chosen you to be my servant. You will be my witness---- you will tell people the things that you have seen and the things that I will show you. This is why I have come to you today. --- [ ACTS 26 : 16 ]
- And God gave me the work of telling all people about the plan for God's secret truth. That secret truth has been hidden in God since the beginning of time. God is the One who created everything. -- [ EPHESIANS 3 : 9 ]
- From Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus. God called me to be an apostle and chose me to tell the Good News. --- [ ROMANS 1 : 1 ]
- So do not be ashamed to tell people about our Lord Jesus. And do not be ashamed of me. I am in prison for the Lord. But suffer with me for the Good News. God gives us the strength to do that. --- God saved us and made us his holy people. That was not because of anything we did ourselves but because of what he wanted and because of his grace. That grace was given to us through Christ Jesus before time began. --- It was not shown to us until our Savior Christ Jesus came. Jesus destroyed death. And through the Good News, he showed us the way to have life that cannot be destroyed. --- [ 2 TIMOTHY 1 : 8 - 10 ]
- Christ was chosen before the world was made. But he was shown to the world in these last times for you. -- [ 1 PETER 1 : 20 ]
- This is what people should think about us : We are servants of Christ. We are the ones God has trusted with his secret truths. -- [ 1 CORINTHIANS 4 : 1 ]
● COLOSSIANS 1 : 26 -- This teaching is the secret truth that was hidden since the beginning of time. It was hidden from everyone, but now it is made known to God's holy people.
- Jesus answered, Only you can know the secret truths about the kingdom of heaven. Other people cannot know these secret truths. -- [ MATTHEW 13 : 11 ]
- Listen. I have important things to say. What I tell you is right. -- [ PROVERBS 8 : 6 ]
- From long ago no one has ever heard of a God like you. No one has ever seen a God besides you. You help the people who trust you. --- [ ISAIAH 64 : 4 ]
● COLOSSIANS 1 : 27 --- God decided to let his people know this rich and glorious truth which he has for all people. This truth is Christ himself, who is in you. He is our only hope for glory.
- People will not say, Look, God's Kingdom is here ! or, There it is ! No, God's kingdom is within you. --- [ LUKE 17 : 21 ]
- But thanks be to God, who always leads us in victory through Christ. God uses us to spread his knowledge everywhere like sweet-- smelling perfume. --- [ 2 CORINTHIANS 2 : 14 ]
- From Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus, by the command of command of God our Savior and Christ Jesus our hope. -- [ 1 TIMOTHY 1 : 1 ]
● COLOSSIANS 1 : 28 --- So we continue to preach Christ to all men. We use all wisdom to warn and teach everyone. We are trying to bring each one into God's presence as a mature person in Christ.
- And you, Ezra, use the wisdom you have from your God. Choose judges and lawmakers to rule the Jews west of the Euphrates. They know the laws of your God. And teach anyone who does not know them. -- [ EZRA 7 : 25 ]
- So you must be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect. --- [ MATTHEW 5 : 48 ]
- I am jealousy over you. And this jealousy comes from God. I. Promised to give you to Christ. He must be your only husband. I want to give you to Christ to be his pure bride. --- [ 2 CORINTHIANS 11 : 2 ]
- Paul greeted them and told them everything that God had done among the non - Jewish people through him. -- [ ACTS 21 : 19 ]
● COLOSSIANS 1 : 29 --- To do this, I work and struggle, using Christ's great strength that works so powerfully in me.
- God gave Peter the power to work as an apostle for the Jewish people. But he also gave me the power to work as an apostle for those who are not Jews. --- [ GALATIANS 2 : 8 ]
- And you will know that God's power is very great for us who believe. That power is the same as the great strength--- [ EPHESIANS 1 : 19 ]
- You cannot brag that you are saved by the work you have done. -- [ EPHESIANS 2 : 9 ]
