Broiler chickens are incredible athletes of the poultry world—they grow fast, which means they need the exact right fuel at the exact right time. Feeding them a one-size-fits-all diet is the fastest way to slow down growth and waste money on feed.
If you want heavy, healthy birds by market day, you need to follow the 3-Stage Feeding Roadmap:
🐣 STAGE 1: Broiler Starter (Days 1 – 21)
The Goal: Build the frame, organs, and immune system.
The Diet: High protein (22–23%) served as a fine crumb or mash.
Pro-Tip: Look for starters with anticoccidials to protect those fragile baby chick guts!
💪 STAGE 2: Broiler Grower (Days 22 – 35)
The Goal: Rapid muscle and meat development.
The Diet: Balanced protein (20%) and higher energy, transitioned into a mini-pellet. This is where the real weight gain explosion happens!
📦 STAGE 3: Broiler Finisher (Days 36 to Market)
The Goal: Bulking up to maximum market weight.
