*About YECODE*
Youth for Economic Devolution (YECODE) is a Zimbabwean youth organization committed to economic empowerment, youth participation, and national development in line with Vision 2030. YECODE mobilizes young people across Zimbabwe to take an active role in economic devolution, entrepreneurship, and community transformation.

*Mission*
To empower Zimbabwean youth as drivers of economic development by promoting skills, innovation, and participation in key sectors of the economy. YECODE works to ensure young people are not just beneficiaries of Vision 2030, but architects of it.

*Key Focus Areas*
- *Economic Devolution*: Advocating for youth involvement in local economic development and resource-based empowerment
- *Skills & Entrepreneurship*: Supporting youth-led projects, training, and access to opportunities in mining, agriculture, and technology
- *Civic Engagement*: Mobilizing youth participation in national programs and policy dialogue
- *Community Impact*: Running initiatives that address unemployment, skills gaps, and social responsibility

*Leadership*
YECODE was founded in 2022 by *Cde Edmore Nyabadza*, who currently serves as National Chairperson. A native of Mutare, Manicaland, Cde Nyabadza attended Chikanga Primary School (1998–2004), St Dominic’s High School, and completed his A-Levels at Avenues Educational Center in Harare. His vision for YECODE was shaped by the need to create platforms for youth to directly contribute to Zimbabwe’s economic transformation.

*Engagement*
YECODE works alongside government, private sector, and other affiliates to advance youth empowerment. The organization maintains an active presence in Harare and engages youth nationwide through programs, updates, and community initiatives.
