Over-irrigation wastes water, leaches nutrients, and stunts roots. Yet many farms still water on a fixed weekly schedule, regardless of what the crop actually needs.
The fix: match watering to growth stage.
→ Early stage: light, shallow watering
→ Mid stage: peak demand, don't underwater
→ Late stage: ease off to avoid disease and rot
