A rich, comforting midweek meal that’s ready in under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
• 500 g Fresh and Frozen chicken livers, cleaned
• 1 large onion, chopped
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp cooking oil
• 1 cup cream or milk
• 1 tsp paprika or peri-peri spice
• Salt and black pepper
• 250 g pasta (penne or spaghetti)
Method
1. Boil pasta according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
2. In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
3. Add cleaned livers and cook for 5–7 minutes until browned but still tender.
4. Stir in paprika, salt and pepper.
5. Pour in cream, reduce the heat and simmer until the sauce thickens.
6. Toss in cooked pasta and mix well. Serve hot with a sprinkle of fresh herbs.
🌟Tip: Do not overcook the livers – they should stay slightly pink inside for a soft texture.🌟
