On this sacred day, as the sun rises over our great nation—from the bustling streets of Harare to the serene fields of Norton—we at Hillbridge College pause to honor the soil that birthed us and the blood that freed us.
We celebrate not just the passage of time, but the triumph of the human spirit. As we sing songs of freedom, let us continue to bow our heads in gratitude for those who sacrificed their very lives so that we could have two precious gifts: Education and Equal Opportunity.
Because of their courage, a child in Norton can dream of becoming a doctor. Because of their vision, a girl in Mutare can sit at the same desk as a boy in Bulawayo. Because of their ultimate price, we are not defined by where we come from, but by how high we are willing to rise.
