FTA has extended the due date of filing UAE Excise Tax Return for the month of March 2020.

The summary of the communication is as under:

Return Period: March 2020 (Period covering March 01, till March 31, 2020)
Original date of Filing: April 15, 2020
Revised date of Filing: May 17, 2020

Return Period: April 2020 (Period covering April 01, till April 30, 2020)
Original date of Filing: May 17, 2020
Revised date of Filing: May 17, 2020

Two separate Excise tax returns are required to be filed, one for March 2020 and one for April 2020.

Moreover, please ensure that FTA has received the tax payable for the tax period as reported in the March 2020 and April 2020 tax returns no later than Sunday, May 17, 2020.
