Let’s talk about the real cost of fresh air. 🌡️

If you're managing a facility in our climate, you already know that pulling in 50°C outdoor air is absolutely brutal on your cooling system. You absolutely need that fresh air for healthy indoor air quality, but forcing your AC to cool it down takes a massive amount of energy.

But what if your cooling coil didn't have to do all the heavy lifting?

Take a look at the infographic above. Here is how adding a KLIMARC Energy Recovery Ventilator (ERV) completely changes the math for your building's energy consumption:

The Challenge: Your building pulls in hot outdoor air (let's say 50°C) to keep the space properly ventilated and compliant.

The ERV Interception: Instead of sending that blistering 50°C air straight to your main AC unit, it first passes through our total energy recovery wheel.

The Smart Exchange: At the exact same time, your building is exhausting stale—but already cooled—22°C indoor air through the other half of that same wheel. The wheel captures the cooling energy from the exhaust air and transfers it to the incoming fresh air.

The Result: By the time that fresh outdoor air actually reaches your cooling coil, it has already dropped to a much more manageable 30°C.

Think about the difference in energy required. Your cooling system now only has to drop the air temperature from 30°C to 18°C, rather than fighting to bring it all the way down from 50°C.

This drastically reduces the load on your system, slashes your operational energy costs, and extends the lifespan of your HVAC equipment—all while maintaining perfect indoor air quality. It’s not just ventilation; it’s smart energy recovery.
