Sri Lanka has always been a nation that stands back up, no matter how many times it’s knocked down. Just as we began to rebuild confidence with the rise of tourism and signs of economic stability, nature has placed yet another obstacle in our path.

To everyone impacted by this disaster, I’m holding you in my thoughts. These moments are painful, and the recovery will not happen overnight. But I trust in the strength, unity, and spirit of our people.
