The question of the century - one or multi-page Resume? What's your take?
When we sit down in front of a blank page, the best approach to writing a new CV is to create a mind-map of our skills, experience, and know-how. Once we have everything on paper, we realize it's six pages (or ten). How can we condense it to a single page without losing key content?
Remember - a headhunter spends around 30 seconds on a CV before making a decision if to proceed. Can you read multiple pages of heavily filled content in 30 seconds?
The trick is to highlight the relevant skills for the given role. While it is important that you ran a food truck 15 years ago, it is not *as* relevant to our application as a tax lawyer.
Focus on key skills that are required to ace the role you are applying to and keep the rest for an extended interview discussion - the recruiter will have your background checked by then anyway.
