Yayyyy it does, a tangy and sweet one too.🥰🥰🥰

Tanginess from the orange juice and vinegars along with the sweetness from the roasted beetroots. Peppered with the salty feta cheese , black pepper for the heat and nuts and seeds of your choice.

Actually salads means food which is raw. I guess when humans were food gatherers they had the gut to support consumption of raw food. However with evolution our guts can no more take so much raw food.

Ayurveda even advises that raw food should be kept at minimal. So while making so many different salads over the years, I have realized that the Chinese style of cooking can achieve both the goals. Having food which does qualify for the nutrition of a salad without being an actual salad.

High flame, short duration cooking makes its an ideal way to consume your veggies and ring the bell on nutritional chart too.

Different kind of Chinese sauces also satisfy your taste buds. It’s Win- Win all through.

After a hiatus ( sort of!!) had to make a come back (sort of!!).
Creative bloc had hit I guess. But when I started making the salad for the day it just dusted it shackles and gave way to this creative composition.

Wild rice with veggies, olives and cheese salad.

I can now call it a fulfilling day.!!

Do you like Pesto??
I loveeee it. 😍
But do you know, 1tbs of Pesto contains more than 500 calories. 😬😬
So had to measure it before it went into this salad mix so I do t exceed 400 calories.
But even that measured quantity of Pesto sprinkled its magic all over this salad.
Pesto Pasta Salad.

Bell Peppers has a fan base. And I of course their biggest fan. They have been part of the show, shining in the medley but never taking the limelight away from the main ingredient.
But they are due more. So this salad and this post dedicated to those lovely cute bell peppers.

This time they are in the main lead while other veggies are in the supporting cast. 😀

And just look at the number of calories you just consumed from a whole lot of that. 😎🤔😊
