It’s hard because most of us were never taught what it really asks of us.

We were told to be patient, but never shown how to regulate our own emotions.
We were expected to be present, but never supported in healing what we carry.
We were told to raise good children, but never guided on what that truly means.

So much pressure. So little preparation.
