AML compliance is not something businesses should review only when there is a problem.

A strong AML framework needs to work in practice — from customer due diligence and risk assessment to record-keeping, policies and internal controls. Even small gaps can leave a business exposed to unnecessary compliance risks.

An AML review gives you the opportunity to identify those gaps, strengthen your processes and make sure your compliance framework is aligned with your business activities.

Think your AML framework needs a review? Talk to SA Consultants.

You may know your revenue, but do you really know where your money is going?

Cash moves through a business every day — from supplier payments and salaries to operating expenses and customer receivables. Without proper bookkeeping, it becomes easy to lose sight of the bigger financial picture.

Accurate books help you understand these movements, identify unnecessary costs and keep a clearer view of your business finances. That clarity can make everyday financial decisions much easier.

Need help keeping your business finances organised? Contact SA Consultants.

When does a UAE business need audited financials for Corporate Tax?
For mainland companies, audited financial statements become mandatory when revenue reaches AED 50 million or more, as part of the Corporate Tax requirements.

For Free Zone companies, audited financials may also be required to support Qualifying Free Zone Person status and access the applicable Corporate Tax benefits.
Your tax position depends not only on revenue, but also on your company’s structure and compliance requirements.

Planning to renew your IFZA licence? Make sure your financial statements are ready.

Financial reporting is an important part of the IFZA renewal process. Companies with annual turnover of AED 3 million or less and 9 employees or fewer may submit a Simplified Financial Statement. If either threshold is exceeded, audited financial statements are required.

The best approach is not to wait until your licence renewal is around the corner. Proper bookkeeping and timely preparation of your financial statements can help you avoid last-minute complications.

Need support with your IFZA accounts or audit requirements? Contact SA Consultants.

The Corporate Tax deadline is approaching. Is your business ready?

For businesses with a 31 December 2025 financial year-end, the deadline to file the Corporate Tax Return and pay any Corporate Tax due is 30 September 2026. This is part of the UAE’s general requirement for Taxable Persons to file and settle Corporate Tax within nine months of the end of their relevant Tax Period.

The final week is not the time to discover missing records, unresolved transactions, or questions about your tax position. Reviewing your financial information and supporting documents early gives you more time to address issues before filing.

If your business falls under this deadline, have you started preparing your Corporate Tax Return yet?

Tax residency is one of those areas where assumptions can create confusion—especially when you're running a business remotely or spending time between countries.

For UAE Tax Residency Certificates, the requirements can differ depending on whether the applicant is an individual or a legal person. For individuals, the UAE framework considers factors such as physical presence, residence, and financial or personal interests. The FTA also recognises different routes based on the number of days spent in the UAE, with additional conditions applying in some cases.

For companies, the application and supporting documentation depend on the purpose of the certificate and the company's circumstances. That's why it is important to assess your position before assuming that simply having a UAE company or spending a certain number of days in the country automatically makes you a tax resident.

👉 If you're considering UAE tax residency, speak with a tax professional about your specific circumstances before applying.

The UAE is building one of the region's most developed regulatory frameworks for virtual assets.

In Dubai, VARA oversees virtual asset activities across its regulated scope, while ADGM provides another established framework in Abu Dhabi. This has helped attract exchanges, VASPs, NFT businesses, and other virtual asset companies to the UAE.

But crypto businesses cannot treat regulation like a standard business licence. The right authority, activity, licence, and compliance requirements depend on what the business actually does.

Contact SA Consultants for guidance on UAE virtual asset business structures and compliance.

September 30, 2026 is the Corporate Tax deadline you shouldn't ignore.

If your tax period ended in December 2025, you need to close your financials, prepare your financial statements, and calculate your Corporate Tax liability before filing.

Businesses with revenue below AED 3 million may qualify for Small Business Relief, while Free Zone businesses need to verify whether they meet the conditions for Qualifying Free Zone Person status.

Contact SA Consultants for Corporate Tax filing support before the deadline.
