2nd December 1971

To commemorate a special day in the UAE’s history, another historic moment was born.

In only 3 days, SAM Precious Metals was to create a monumental 1,971 kg bar in partnership with DMCC - Dubai Multi Commodities Centre along with Tokinvest , a platform by Dubai Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), as a tokenization partner, and Brink's India, Middle East & Africa as its logistics partner.

The journey brought challenges, conquered in time for its final reveal.

In an upcoming documentary release, we unveil the expertise and process that went behind the creation of this record-breaking silver bar.

Here are a few highlights from the India Gold Conference (IGC) 2026 powered by SAM Precious Metals, held from 20th to 23rd August 2026 at Taj Cidade de Goa Horizon, Goa.

Amidst the current regional instability, its global impacts, and the increase in passive holding of gold, this year the theme of the event was 'IGC 2026: India Gold Vision: Recycle, Reform & Re-Innovate.'

The conference brought together senior stakeholders, industry leaders, and business owners to discuss key topics such as gold recycling, import reforms, trade with global bullion centers, and more.

Our Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Abu Ahmad, attended the conference representing SAM Precious Metals.

On 19 August 2026, SAM Precious Metals welcomed Mr. Ahmed Bin Sulayem , Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC - Dubai Multi Commodities Centre , at our headquarters in Dubai.

During his visit, Mr. Sulayem toured our facilities and gained a closer insight into our refining process, technical capabilities, and operational standards.
