"The Lungs of Dubai"

While survival nowadays becomes more opulent, here I am, sitting, breathing, living, at the least expensive place in UAE.

The Park.

One of the oldest public parks here in Dubai is Mushrif Park. From 1974 up to the present, Dubai Municipality continuously enriched this wonderland with indigenous Ghaf trees. An estimated 70,000 local trees surround this protected land. Trees function as the lungs of our planet, thus forests are essential to every living organism here on Earth.
This park offers more than just a vast area filled with trees. This is an all-age park with several attraction spots, play areas for kids, and other adventurous activities, a perfect place to spend time with family and enjoy nature.

So if you’re tired of the massive shopping malls and want to escape the city’s glittery lights, try to visit Mushrif Park and feel freshened with every air you breathe in and out.

“Aiming for less carbon footprint? Pedal it out!”

With a goal to transform the city with the world's lowest carbon footprint, Dubai continuously promotes cycling as a means of environmental friendly transport. Innovation and technological advancement are so evident in this country, nevertheless, it has never missed to consider environment and human well-being at the center of its objectives.

In line with the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, Dubai Municipality has laid out 463 km of existing cycling track in total. More than 760 bicycles are available to rent from different bike rental stations located in the different areas of the city. This could really help since 80% of Dubai's air pollution comes from vehicle emissions.

Cooler days and months are coming. I hope to see more cyclists out there under the sun!

“Reminiscing the good old days at Nad Al Sheeba”

As I walk through the trail of Nad Al Sheeba, lovely memories linger in my mind.

When I was a kid, we had this place we called enchanted paradise, a hectare of land abundant with low and pompous mango trees where me and my friends used to stay under the branches with countless leaves and spend the rest of the day protected from the sun. On its roots, we have shared lots of joy and laughter, sadness and madness, excitement, and disappointment and most especially, growth. The trees used to be our best friends. Thus, they played an exceptional role in my life.

That is why I felt so elated the first time I went here at Nad Al Sheeba. Every scenery brought me back to my childhood years. It is indeed a perfect place to relax and unwind. I have seen people amusingly walking with their dogs. I just wish I could bring my own babies too. This is really a wonderful place for cycling, horse-riding, and family gatherings. Truly, Dubai is not compromised by sand dunes alone. This spot thrives to give breathable and healthy air for everyone.

Despite being highly-maintained by the municipality, I still encourage everyone to practice Clean-as-you-go, CLAYGO, when you visit this enchanting place. Enjoy!
