Amen🙏
In the first part of Genesis, God exemplified two important things: That is work (when He created in the first six days) and, Rest on the seventh day. These two, perfectly woven together, not one greater than the other, shows God’s created order.
God honors what you do in excellence and in hardwork. But God honors you too, when you rest. He tells us this in Matthew 11:28: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”
May we all see this invitation of rest as a command but most importantly, as a pronouncement of His love. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments. And His commandments are not burdensome (1 John 5:3).
When you rest in Him, nothing is wasted. As you actively put your trust In Him, He promises to act on your behalf, making sure that everything will work out according to His purposes.
The Maker of Heaven and earth, does not sleep nor slumber,
even when you do.
Rest. God’s got your back❤️
