Various surveys have shown a common reason why employees disengage or have chosen to leave their jobs. A 2022 survey conducted by the Pew Research Center indicated that 57% of workers have left their jobs because they felt disrespected (Parker & Horowitz, 2022).

A lack of workplace appreciation caused 79% of employees to hand in their resignations according to a study done by OC Tanner Research (Novak, 2019).

Moreover, a Gallup survey showed 87 percent of employees are disengaged and have placed the lack of meaningful work connection as the centre of disengagement (Conner, 2018).

We are human beings. We have the same emotions. And when something is not going your way, take hold of the reins with more focus. There are always options.

COMPARISON..
We are prone to comparing ourselves to others..
It is natural human trait..
Yet, it is deadly..

It clouds your judgment..
You always come out short..
You exaggerate your insecurities..
You fail to appreciate your uniqueness..

If reframed as a power to your own growth rather than allowing it to hinder your potential, it can be a source of positive transformation.

High performance can only be achieved by people who are self-motivated. There must be a reason for doing something where the use of one's strength and direction of behaviours influence the outcome.

You can inspire others but you cannot motivate them unless their own needs and wants are met.
