๐๐๐๐:
๐ต Licensing becomes effective on 1 December 2026.
๐ต Applications are already being accepted, allowing businesses to prepare in advance.
๐ต Businesses only need to obtain one licence, through either EMRA (Emirates Music Rights Association) or Music Nation.
๐ต Both organisations are officially authorised by MOET and follow the same Ministry-approved tariff structure.
๐ต Licences are issued on an annual basis, with no retroactive licensing.
๐ต Businesses operating multiple branches may be eligible for a master licence agreement.
๐ต Certain non-commercial uses, including educational institutions, government entities, national occasions, and personal celebrations, are exempt from licensing fees.
As the implementation date approaches, understanding how these requirements apply to your business will help ensure a smoother transition and continued compliance.
