🌿 When nature meets engineering at scale — this is what we live for. 🌿

We are incredibly proud of our latest commercial project in Europe to date: Pairi Daiza's Edenya — the world's largest tropical greenhouse, nestled in the heart of Belgium.

When this incredible living ecosystem opened its doors in February 2026, Cape Reed International was right there — delivering 2,300m² of precision-installed natural thatched roofing, using 150,000 bundles of sustainably sourced Cape Reed thatch, shipped across ten 40-foot containers all the way from South Africa to Belgium. 🇿🇦➡️🇧🇪

But this wasn't just about scale. Inside Edenya's climate-controlled glass canopy, our natural thatch wasn't simply decorative — it contributed to insulation, acoustic comfort, and the authentic atmosphere that makes this space truly unlike anything else on the continent. In an environment designed to feel alive, natural materials weren't a compromise. They were the heart of it.

This project is a testament to what's possible when heritage craftsmanship meets engineered project delivery — and it's exactly the kind of challenge Cape Reed was built for.
