Celebrating World Standards Day 2026
Today, we join organisations around the world in recognising the importance of standards and the vital role they play in driving quality, safety, reliability, and innovation across industries.
At Scolmore Group, standards are at the heart of everything we do. They provide the framework that helps us design and deliver products and solutions our customers can trust, while driving and supporting best practice, continuous improvement, and long-term industry progress.
This year’s World Standards Day 2026 highlights how SDG7, Affordable and Clean Energy, is being turned into practical action. Across the Scolmore Group, our businesses continue to develop products and technologies that support this transition. From Ovia Lighting's high-efficiency LED lighting and controls, to Sangamo’s heating solutions and ESP UK's low-energy Espire CO, smoke and fire alarm range, innovative technologies are helping homes and businesses reduce energy consumption.
On World Standards Day, we celebrate the organisations, experts and industry professionals who contribute to the development and advancement of standards, and we reaffirm our commitment to supporting the highest levels of quality, performance, and compliance across our business.
