Philippine Airlines has opened its 2026 Ultimate Seat Sale, offering up to 40% off base fares across its domestic and international network from August 24 to 30, 2026.

Travelers flying from September 16 onwards can get up to 40% off flights from Dubai and Riyadh, and up to 30% off from Doha.

The sale is available through the PAL website, mobile app, hotline, ticketing offices, and accredited travel agents.

Formula One president and CEO Stefano Domenicali has confirmed the 2026 season will end as scheduled with the Formula 1® Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix at Yas Marina Circuit this December.

"The calendar is confirmed. There are still a few tickets to be sold in Abu Dhabi… and we stay focused on delivering the calendar we promised at the beginning of the year," Domenicali said.

Organizers say ticket availability is now limited, with fans directed to abudhabigp.com to secure remaining seats.

Dubai Police impounded 497 vehicles with outstanding traffic fines during inspection campaigns in the first half of this year, with some penalties reaching tens of thousands of dirhams.

Brigadier Juma Salem Bin Suwaidan of the General Department of Traffic said several owners had left their vehicle registrations unrenewed for years, and urged drivers to check their records and settle fines before facing impoundment and legal action.

Dubai Municipality has opened a 102-metre bridge at Mushrif National Park, linking two previously separated trail sections so mountain bikers can ride through without crossing a vehicle road.

The crossing carries separate lanes for cyclists and hikers, with the full biking stretch spanning 182 metres.

The connected route is now open to the public, with journeys starting from Mushrif Hub.
