Had the most incredible winter trip to Iceland earlier in the year. Driving through blizzards, hiking on active volcanos and glaciers. Epic waterfalls, black sand beaches and the northern lights. Best. Trip. Ever.

The power of a single photograph. I was going through some of my fathers things this week. He passed when I was 17. Hidden away was an old film pocket and in that, a perfectly preserved negative. I scanned the neg and revealed a slice of life from 1952. I found dads old diary and read every page for the first time. Dad had emigrated to NZ from England and was staying in a cheap hotel when he answered an ad in the newspaper to board with a family in Wellington. Dad absolutely loved the family (shown) and over time fell in love with the ladies daughter. Mum and Dad were married in 1964 and I showed up later. Such a nostalgic journey from a single image.

Photo dump. Date night with my beautiful wife and couldn’t help feeling pretty emotional about our wedding photos. These are just a few and they are so precious to me. Warren I don’t think I thanked you enough, and one day I will buy you a beer and tell you how much these mean to me. They encapsulate how I feel about Bindi and my beautiful kids. That’s the strength of unposed images. These photos are a good representation of us, always up for a laugh and something adventurous. I love that you captured something authentic and I love the memories it helps me recall. The best of times.
