There’s something powerful about being back in a room together.

After everything the region has been navigating, the energy at the HR & CQ Summit 2026 was a reminder of just how important these moments are. Not just to reconnect, but to reflect on how we lead through change.

In a moment where organisations are navigating rapid AI advancements alongside ongoing regional uncertainty, leaders are being asked to make decisions in real time, often without clear answers.

Our CEO & Founder Brett Smyth explored a question many organisations are facing right now: how do you lead when there is no playbook?

He explored three practical ways to navigate this:
1) The engagement test: What are we actually signaling to our people right now?
2) Redefine the rules: Which rules no longer fit the reality we’re operating in?
3) Treat people like adults: How do we create clarity, trust and accountability.
