Dubai has ranked first globally for new foreign direct investment (FDI) projects in the cultural and creative industries for the fourth consecutive year.

Dubai attracted 754 new creative economy projects in 2025, outperforming cities including London, Singapore, Riyadh, and Bengaluru.

The achievement highlights Dubai's growing strength as a global hub for creativity, innovation, technology, and entrepreneurship. The sector generated 19,304 new jobs and attracted US$3.76 billion in greenfield FDI capital, supported by strong demand across digital services, AI-powered creative technologies, media, gaming, design, and professional services.

IFZA has reinforced its commitment to supporting German businesses through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between Jochen Knecht, Global CEO of IFZA, and Dr. Martin Henkelmann, Chief Executive Officer of the German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK).

Coinciding with the signing ceremony, IFZA hosted the AHK Directors Roundtable, bringing together senior business leaders and decision-makers to discuss the economic outlook for the UAE and Saudi Arabia, regional opportunities, and the trends shaping the future of business across the Gulf.

Representing IFZA at the event were Holger Schlechter, Chief Financial Officer of IFZA, who welcomed guests and reaffirmed IFZA's commitment to creating opportunities for the German business community in Dubai and the wider region, and Amgad Abouzeid, Director of International Business Relations.

The event featured insights from Dr. Martin Henkelmann, Chief Executive Officer of AHK Gulf Region; Janina Hasse-Mohsine, Deputy Head of Mission at the German Embassy Abu Dhabi; and Dr. Maxime Clemenceau, Director and Economics & Sustainability Advisor at PwC Middle East.

IFZA bekräftigt ihr Engagement zur Unterstützung deutscher Unternehmen durch die Unterzeichnung eines Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) zwischen Jochen Knecht, Global CEO von IFZA, und Dr. Martin Henkelmann, Chief Executive Officer des German Emirati Joint Council for Industry & Commerce (AHK).

Anlässlich der Unterzeichnungszeremonie veranstaltete IFZA zudem den AHK Directors Roundtable, bei dem führende Entscheidungsträger und Wirtschaftsvertreter zusammenkamen, um die wirtschaftlichen Perspektiven der VAE und Saudi-Arabiens, regionale Chancen sowie die Zukunftstrends der Golfregion zu diskutieren.

The agreement was signed by Jochen Knecht, CEO of IFZA Global, and Mahmoud HajHussein, Managing Director of DHL Express UAE, and witnessed by Lily de Klerk, CEO of the South African Business Council UAE (SABCO), marking a shared commitment to enabling business growth, international trade, and global market expansion.
