A UAE free zone company, but the real decisions are taken in London. Where is it resident?
The UAE treats it as resident because it was incorporated there. The UK can treat it as resident too, because that is where it is managed. So it can be resident in both countries, and for companies the UK-UAE treaty has no automatic tie-breaker.
Governance comes first: where the board meets and decides should match where the company means to be resident, and the minutes should show it.
