We are proud to announce Samer Kamal, a well-known impact professional in the sustainable infrastructure sector, as a nominee for the Saudi 100.
Samer has over two decades of experience advancing circular economy, waste management, and decarbonisation across the region. Early in his career, he founded BEEAH Group, The Sharjah Environment Company, where he served as Managing Director from 2007 to 2011. During this time, he raised over USD $200 million and managed approximately 17,000 tons of waste per day, transforming the company from a municipal waste collector into an integrated circular economy enterprise.
He has since developed several privately funded sustainable infrastructure ventures, including the first privatized residential wastewater treatment plant in Dubai, recycling 25,000 m³ of water daily. Samer has also advised regional governments and multinational corporations on circular economy and decarbonisation strategies, including leading FMCGs, food producers, loyalty companies, retailers, and airlines.
He previously served as Chief Sustainability Officer at Averda, guiding its transition toward circular services, and currently advises a number of investment groups and start-ups focused on sustainable infrastructure. He is a shareholder and director at ORCA Digesters Inc., a Senior Advisor at Nadeera Technologies, and supports Infinitum Energy and Apolonia Capital in developing renewable and decarbonisation projects.
Samer was recently named one of the UAE’s top sustainability leaders by Gulf News and continues to be an active voice on the economic opportunities of circularity and decarbonisation.
