Following a recent analysis of the serviced apartment/aparthotel market in Manchester UK, we set out a brief overview of the online rate ranges that operator's are potentially achieving. It is interesting to note the price sensitivity of the studio and 1-bedroom apartments which are competing head-on with hotels - although on a revenue/sqm basis, studios are still the most efficient room category.

It’s interesting to note that the major international hotel brands have yet to seriously dip their toes in the market and many are still not present. It will be interesting to see if this changes in the near future and whether consolidation of this fragmented market starts to materialise....
