ദുബൈയില്‍ ആരോഗ്യ ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് എടുക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള സമയപരിധി മാര്‍ച്ച് 31ന് അവസാനിക്കും. മാര്‍ച്ച് 31ന് ശേഷം ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് ഇല്ലാത്തവര്‍ക്ക് പിഴ ചുമത്തും. ഇതു സംബന്ധിച്ച് ഞായറാഴ്ച ദുബൈ എക്‌സിക്യൂട്ടീവ് കൗണ്‍സില്‍ പുതിയ ഉത്തരവ് പുറത്തിറക്കി.
ദുബൈ വിസയുള്ളവര്‍ക്ക് നിര്‍ബന്ധിത ആരോഗ്യ ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ്് എടുക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അവസാന സമയപരിധിയായി നേരത്തെ നിശ്ചയിച്ചിരുന്നത് 2016 ഡിസംബര്‍ 31 ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നീട് ഡി എച്ച് എ അധികൃതര്‍ സമയപരിധി വീണ്ടും നീട്ടി നല്‍കുകയായിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ ഇപ്പോഴാണ് ഇതിന്റെ അവസാന തീയതി പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത്. 2013ലെ ആരോഗ്യ ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് നിയമപ്രകാരം എല്ലാ ദുബൈ വിസക്കാരും ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് പരിരക്ഷക്ക് കീഴിലാകണം. 2014 മുതല്‍ ആണ് നിയമം നടപ്പിലാക്കി തുടങ്ങിയത്. ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് എടുക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള അവസാന സമയപരിധി 2015 ജൂലൈ 31 ആയിരുന്നു. എന്നാല്‍ അത് നീട്ടി നല്‍കി.
ദുബൈ വിസക്കാരില്‍ 98 ശതമാനം പേരും ഇതിനകം തന്നെ ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് എടുത്തു കഴിഞ്ഞുവെന്നാണ് ഡി എച്ച് എ അധികൃതര്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നത്. മാര്‍ച്ച് 31 വരെ ഇന്‍ഷുറന്‍സ് എടുക്കാത്തവര്‍ പിഴ അടക്കേണ്ടി വരും. മാത്രമല്ല ഇവര്‍ക്ക് വിസ പുതുക്കുവാനും സാധിക്കില്ല..

The new deadline for Dubai's mandatory health insurance has been set as March 31 for employees and their families and December 31 for visitors, according to an Executive Council Resolution issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, on Sunday.

Dubai introduces new system for visit and residence visas

GDRFA says now people can submit applications at typing centres only

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai (GDRFA) introduced the ‘UAE vision’ new system, which allows public to apply for all kind of visa and residency related transactions only via typing service centres approved by the residency department.

Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of the General Directorate of Residency and foreigners’ Affairs in Dubai, said yesterday that public will not be required any more to visit the GDRFA headquarters or any of its external branches in order to apply for any visa or residency related transaction including applying for visa, renewing residency, applying for new residency or cancelation in addition to any other related services as all the services will be available at the typing services centres.

Major General Al Marri said that the GDRFA is introducing the ‘UAE vision’ new system, which is deemed one of the best systems introduced for public to save effort and time.

Colonel Hussein Ibrahim, Assistant of the Director-General for administrative support at GDRFA, said: The ‘UAE Vision’ is a new system where public members will be able to visit any of the typing service offices and submit their transactions all without having to visit the GDRFA building or any of the centres to complete their transactions as everything will be done at the typing centre only.

Colonel Hussein pointed out that clients must provide accurate information to the typing centre such as valid phone numbers, address and email in order to allow communication with them.

He said that those who apply for visit visa related transaction will have it sent to their email and those applying for residency visa service will have it send to them via Zajel service.

Dh600 fee to extend stay for 45 countries eligible for visa-on-arrival


==Visitors to the UAE from 45 countries eligible for a 30-day visa-on-arrival will now have to pay Dh600 if they choose to extend their stay beyond the specified time period.

According to a report in ‘Emarat Al Youm’, this new rule is applicable as of August 1, 2014.

The report quotes the UAE Foreign Ministry citing 45 countries eligible for visa on arrival, that will now be affected by the charge.

The report cites Article 14 of the decision of the Council of Ministers No (22) of 2014, Ministry of the Interior, which stipulates that nationals of these 45 states will have to pay fees in case of extending their stay.

Also, according to Article 14 of the Council of Ministers Resolution No 22, permissions are exempt from fees and financial guarantees established in case ministries, departments, institutions and federal and local public bodies have invited the persons from abroad.
